Grandpa’s Pole Beans

$3.00

Great tasting green bean fresh, frozen or canned!
These beans have been grown in our family for at least 6 decades, my Great Grandpa originally grew them successfully in Alberta for many years and continued to do so on Vancouver Island for many more! One of my favorite memories of him. We do not know the exact variety of these beans, so have renamed them “Grandpa’s Pole Beans”

Product Description

Growing pole beans allows the gardener to maximize planting space and harvest easily.

Beans do not transplant well and do best when directly sown into the garden. Sow the seeds when soil temperatures are around 60 F. (16 C.)
60 to 70 days to first harvest and can often be harvested at least five times during the growing season –  permitting suitable weather conditions.
Pole beans need a support structure at least 6 feet high and the vines can grow 5 to 10 feet long. Pole beans need at least an inch of water per week and should not be allowed to dry out but also cannot tolerate soggy soils.

Approximately 50 seeds per package
Heirloom/Organic seeds grown and harvested on Vancouver Island
